In 1895, the Lumiere brothers invented the cinematograph and made some of the very first films in the history of cinema. Directing, travelling, special effects or remakes, they also invented the art of filming. World famous masterpieces or little-known nuggets, this selection of 108 restored films offers a journey to the origins of cinema.
